The Piedmont Police Department and Piedmont Fire Department, along with other local police and fire agencies in the Alameda County, will team up again this year to donate toys to low income children living in the East Bay. Please donate new unwrapped toys for children between the ages of 2-13 at the Piedmont Police Department lobby located at 403 Highland Avenue through January 2, 2019. On Sunday, October 7th at 10 AM, the Blue Mass (or Mass of Thanksgiving) will be held at the Cathedral of Christ the Light in Oakland. *Help us help a hero by sharing with your friends and family to spread the word* Costa Mesa Police Officer Oscar Reyes, a 13-year veteran, passed away on September 12th after a medical emergency. Officer Reyes leaves behind his wife and three children ages 15,14, and 10.If you would like to make a contribution, please see our official donation page here.All donations are tax-deductible and any amount is greatly appreciated.  

On Saturday, September 8th, Piedmont POA members particilpated in Coffee, Cars and Cops to introduce local law enforcement officers to the community. Check out some of the cars that residents brought to show off. Hope to see you there next time! 

Join Piedmont POA members on Thursday, September 13th for a 5K Memorial Run hosted by Alameda County Sheriff's Department in honor of fallen Sergeant Tommy Smith. It's free and open to all law enforcement, friends and family and no registration is required; however, we are making a donation to the DSA of Alameda County Charitable Foundation and hope you will consider one too. We hope to see you at the ACSO Regional Training Center in Dublin, CA on Thursday at 9 AM! 

The tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001 changed America forever. On this day, we honor the 343 lives that were lost as they attempted to save the lives of others. We will never forget the bravery and sacrifice of these heroes.
